Anne offers counselling services for anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders, chronic pain, physical illness, trauma, grief and loss, insomnia, difficult life transitions and interpersonal issues.
Anne has a Masters in Counselling and is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and a Clinical Supervisor. Anne's Ph.D thesis explores new directions in mindfulness-based therapies.She has undergone extensive training as a mindfulness meditation teacher with The Centre for Mindfulness in Massachusetts and is a graduate of the two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, facilitated by Dr Jack Kornfield and Dr Tara Brach.
Anne’s counselling style is person-centred to create a warm, supportive and non-judgemental environment to encourage personal growth. Her therapeutic framework combines both Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques to explore and change unhelpful thoughts as well as Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs) to empower each person’s unique journey towards self-discovery and wellness.
Anne is a Lecturer in the Bachelor of Counselling, Graduate Diploma of Counselling and Master of Counselling programs at a private university in Australia.
